چکیده

The defect investigation of sluice floor is an important measure to ensure the safe operation sluice. due traditional drilling methods will cause damage floor, and appearance inspection compressive strength test can not evaluate internal defects reinforced concrete in floor. In this paper, we apply ground penetrating radar(GPR) quality a gate seawall. And describe layout, detection principle data processing flow GPR. Then simulate propagation characteristics radar electromagnetic wave presence twodimensional electrical anomaly bodies by finite difference method. Through analyzing amplitude, frequency event reflection shown gray map GPR profiles, determine dividing line between muddy silty clay, finding out density steel concrete, framing location construction joints suspected water-filled gaps.

Automated Rebar Detection for Ground-Penetrating Radar

Automated rebar detection in images from groundpenetrating radar (GPR) is a challenging problem and difficult to perform in real-time as a result of relatively low contrast images and the size of the images. This paper presents a rebar localization algorithm, which can accurately locate the pixel locations of rebar within a GPR scan image. The proposed algorithm uses image classification and st...

Uxo Detection at Jefferson Proving Ground Using Ground-penetrating Radar

We have used ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to detect UXO and non-ordnance on the 40-acre site (lot 54) of Jefferson Proving Ground, Indiana. The UXO are buried within about 1 m deep in a clayey silt for which the soil water content ranged from moist near the surface to near saturation at about 1 m. We used a 16-bit radar to profile along previously established lines, and transects over artific...

Ground-Penetrating Radar

Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) has recently gained a wide acceptance in the archaeological community as a method that can quickly and accurately locate buried archaeological features, artifacts, and important cultural strata in the near-surface. The GPR method has been especially effective in certain sediments and soils between about 20 cm and 5 m below the ground surface, where the targets to ...

Ground - Penetrating Radar ( Paper

GPR senses electrical inhomogeneities, with these manifested, for example, by the electrical contrast of a metal mine in the presence of a far-less-conducting soil background. Of much more difficulty, GPR senses the electrical inhomogeneity caused by a dielectric (plastic) landmine in the presence of soil. Often this contrast is very weak, implying that the landmine GPR signal is very small. Th...

Ground Penetrating Radar Fundamentals

Ground penetrating radar (commonly called GPR) is a high resolution electromagnetic technique that is designed primarily to investigate the shallow subsurface of the earth, building materials, and roads and bridges. GPR has been developed over the past thirty years for shallow, high resolution investigations of the subsurface. GPR is a time-depen dent geophysical technique that can provide a 3...
